Fresha has announced an investment and partnership with Yuv, a company that specializes in AI-driven hair color technology. This collaboration aims to enhance Fresha’s ability to customize salon services for individual consumers more effectively. The financial details of the agreement remain undisclosed.
With a network of over 120,000 beauty businesses globally, a significant portion of which are salons, Fresha emphasizes that hair coloring is a major revenue source for these establishments but also one of the most complex services to manage efficiently.
“Investing in Yuv aligns with our mission to provide the most advanced tools to beauty professionals,” states William Zeqiri, founder and CEO of Fresha.
“Hair coloring is a cornerstone of the salon business, and by addressing the complexities of this service, we’re adding significant value to our platform. This partnership will transform how salons operate and position Fresha as the most trusted and indispensable platform for beauty and wellness businesses worldwide, reinforcing our role as the industry leader.”
Fresha Partners with Yuv to Offer AI-Enhanced Personalized Hair Coloring Services
Yuv highlights that hair coloring involves intricate processes that demand precision and consistency. Its technology enables salons to save personalized hair color formulas directly within customer profiles, ensuring clients receive a consistent and tailored experience.
By integrating Yuv’s technology into its backend systems, Fresha intends to streamline inventory management. This solution provides real-time insights into product usage and automates the restocking process, which helps reduce waste and minimize costs. By ensuring salons always have the necessary products on hand, this integration optimizes both efficiency and profitability.
“This strategic move further reinforces Fresha’s position as an industry leader, providing salons and beauty businesses with the advanced tools they need to elevate both their service quality and operational efficiency,” Zeqiri adds.
Fresha has raised over US$185 million in venture capital to date, including a US$150 million Series C round in 2021 led by General Atlantic. The platform maintains a strong presence across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe, connecting over 120,000 merchants and facilitating tens of millions of appointments monthly. With reported transactions totaling over US$35 billion in gross merchandise volume, Fresha is well-positioned in the market.
“Partnering with Fresha provides us with the platform and reach we need to revolutionize the salon experience on a global scale,” comments Francisco Gimenez, founder and CEO of Yuv.
“Together, we’re set to transform how professionals and clients approach hair coloring, creating a more efficient and personalized process that benefits everyone involved.”
