Ipsy Gabrielle Union Icon Box: A Celebration of Self-Expression and Black Joy
Ipsy has collaborated with Gabrielle Union to launch the Ipsy Gabrielle Union Icon Box for February. This exclusive collection of makeup, skin, and hair products reflects Union’s personal journey of self-expression. The Icon Box celebrates Black History Month and features items that highlight confidence and authenticity, empowering individuals to express themselves.

The Icon Box features carefully selected products by Union herself. The box includes items from top brands like LYS Beauty, Kosas, Elemis, and Benefit Cosmetics. Union’s own Flawless by Gabrielle Union line is also featured, alongside beauty tips she uses to feel confident in her own skin.
In addition, the campaign includes a short film titled Black Joy Is Beautiful, which promotes embracing one’s true self. Union narrates the film, which is released in February as part of Ipsy’s Black History Month celebration. This film highlights the importance of self-love, beauty, and confidence, bringing Union’s message to life for all to enjoy.
Celebrating Black Joy and Beauty Through the Ipsy Gabrielle Union Icon Box
The Ipsy Gabrielle Union Icon Box serves as a powerful representation of embracing black joy and beauty. The collaboration will also include exclusive access to Black-owned brands in Ipsy’s online shop, such as Fenty Beauty, Briogeo, and Pat McGrath Labs. This is a fantastic opportunity to support inclusive brands that empower individuals across the globe.
In line with this initiative, Ipsy’s February Limited Edition Mystery Bags feature creative designs by students from Project Level. This Bay Area non-profit organization nurtures the creative talents of underserved youth, celebrating cultural significance and hair in the process. The designs are a thoughtful addition to Ipsy’s Black History Month offerings.
Ipsy’s Dedication to Empowerment and Inclusivity
Kristy Westrup, Ipsy’s Chief Merchandising Officer, expressed excitement about these offerings. She mentioned that Ipsy will continue to promote inclusive beauty through collaborations like the Union Icon Box. By spotlighting Black-owned brands, Ipsy strengthens its commitment to empowerment and inclusivity in the beauty industry.
This collaboration with Gabrielle Union is a powerful step toward celebrating beauty in all its forms. With the Icon Box, the Black Joy Is Beautiful campaign, and limited-edition products, Ipsy is paving the way for more inclusive beauty experiences.
