The “Trust the Bum” Tour Launches Nationwide

The Sun Bum Sunscreen Tour has officially kicked off, launching a coast-to-coast mission to make sun care a daily habit. As part of its “Trust the Bum” campaign, Sun Bum aims to raise awareness about sun protection with an unforgettable, sunscreen-fueled experience in 10 major U.S. cities.

Designed to inspire outdoor fun and safe sun practices, the Sun Bum Sunscreen Tour will offer free sunscreen, community events, and education. This first-of-its-kind initiative comes from the Florida-based brand, known for its laid-back beach culture and serious sun care solutions.

Spreading Awareness, One City at a Time

Sun Bum’s CMO Evan Slater says the tour is a return to the brand’s roots in Cocoa Beach. There, a group of friends set out to create products that would protect their loved ones from the harsh Florida sun. That same mission now drives this unique, interactive tour.

Sun Bum has also partnered with the Skin Cancer Foundation for the third year in a row. Together, they will provide free skin cancer screenings and vital sun protection education across tour stops.

To support the tour visually, Sun Bum will roll out creative outdoor ads in cities like New York, San Diego, and Chicago. Meanwhile, influencers like Ana Stowell and Ava Jules will amplify the message through engaging content online.

The Sun Bum Sunscreen Tour kicked off in New York City on April 19 with a taco truck event offering sunscreen and delicious bites. From there, the tour travels to cities such as Savannah, Plano, and Austin, offering unique local events like parades, music festivals, and skate meetups.
