Interparfums Acquires Maison Goutal to Strengthen Fragrance Portfolio

Interparfums Acquires Maison Goutal, expanding its fragrance portfolio with the iconic high-end niche fragrance brand. This acquisition comes as part of Interparfums SA’s strategy to grow its luxury perfume offerings and cement its place as a leading player in the fragrance industry.

Interparfums Acquires Maison Goutal: Expanding Their Scent Collection

Interparfums SA has acquired the Maison Goutal fragrance brand from Amorepacific Europe. This acquisition includes all worldwide intellectual property rights to the Maison Goutal brand, marking a significant move in the luxury perfume market. Annick Goutal founded the brand in 1981, and it has since become synonymous with high-quality, elegant fragrances.

The brand, famous for fragrances like L’Eau d’Hadrien and Petite Chérie, has established itself as a symbol of sophistication and timelessness in the perfume industry. Interparfums’ acquisition of Maison Goutal is expected to enhance their current portfolio and further solidify their position in the high-end fragrance market.

The Future of Maison Goutal Under Interparfums

Following the acquisition, Interparfums SA will begin developing the Maison Goutal brand from 2026 onward, in collaboration with its licensee. However, Amorepacific Europe will continue to operate the brand under a license agreement for the time being.

Jean Madar, Chairman and CEO of Interparfums, shared the company’s strategic vision, saying, “The acquisition of the Goutal brand reflects our strategy of broadening our product offering to include high-end fragrances.” This move reflects Interparfums’ dedication to expanding into the luxury perfume segment.

Continuing the Legacy of Annick Goutal

The acquisition also ensures the legacy of Annick Goutal, with her daughter, Camille Goutal, remaining involved in fragrance decisions to safeguard the brand’s heritage. This will help maintain the authenticity and timeless quality that Maison Goutal has been known for since its inception.

Interparfums also aims to expand the brand’s reach even further by introducing a new private-label perfume collection called Solférino. The collection will consist of ten fragrances targeting the niche market, adding a unique touch to their already extensive perfume offerings.

Interparfums Expands its Fragrance Licenses

In addition to acquiring Maison Goutal, Interparfums has been actively extending its fragrance partnerships. Recently, the company signed a 15-year deal with Lacoste for fragrance production and obtained the perfume and cosmetic brand licenses for the luxury streetwear brand Off-White.

This flurry of activity highlights Interparfums’ commitment to growing its diverse fragrance portfolio and expanding its global presence.
