Nu Skin has launched Mynd360, a new collection of supplements and topical products designed to provide holistic cognitive support for essential aspects of mental well-being. The range aims to help consumers enhance their sleep quality, maintain focus, manage stress, and support memory retention.
The lineup features six products: four supplements—Feel Calm, Mind Full, Night Time, and Sharp Focus—as well as a Relaxing Body Cream and an Energizing Hand and Body Wash. Nu Skin has also conducted three clinical studies to evaluate the key ingredient blends in the Night Time, Feel Calm, and Mind Full supplements.
“Sleep, stress, memory, and mental cognition all significantly impact our overall health and well-being,” says Steve Hatchett, executive vice president and chief product officer at Nu Skin. “Our global research indicates that 93% of consumers have one or more concerns related to sleep, focus, or memory. It’s essential for consumers to have access to scientifically validated products that are proven to be safe and effective through clinical research. This holistic approach will support consumers in living happier, healthier lives.”
Examining the new product range, Feel Calm is formulated to support mood, containing ingredients like magnolia bark, lemon balm extract, and l-theanine, which help maintain healthy cortisol levels and alleviate stress. The Mind Full soft gels combat mental fatigue and enhance memory and recall, utilizing a clinically proven blend of astaxanthin, grape extract, and vitamin E.
Night Time supplements are designed to aid sleep with a mix of magnesium, melatonin, and saffron extract to help users fall asleep faster and improve sleep quality. Sharp Focus promotes healthy brain function, enhancing mental clarity, concentration, and reaction time, featuring choline, bacopa, and vitamins B6 and B12, along with a microencapsulated form of caffeine for gradual release.
The Relaxing Body Cream includes topical nutrients like calcium and magnesium, promoting quick absorption into the skin, while its fragrance is intended to support a positive mood and relaxation. The Energizing Hand and Body Wash features natural coconut and biodegradable cleansing agents, infused with a refreshing green apple and ginseng scent.
Nu Skin has highlighted several clinical trials supporting the efficacy of these new supplements for mental well-being. A 28-day study demonstrated that 89% of participants using the Night Time blend without melatonin felt less tired upon waking, and 96% reported improved sleep quality. This double-blind, placebo-controlled study involved 40 healthy adults with reported sleep disturbances.
Similarly, the Feel Calm ingredient blend was evaluated in a study by Princeton Consumer Research involving 60 healthy adults experiencing moderate stress. After 30 days, 98% of participants noted a reduction in occasional anxiousness, while 93% experienced improvements in feelings of melancholy.
In another study focused on Mind Full, researchers observed cognitive performance and episodic memory improvements in 100 healthy adults with self-reported memory concerns. Participants taking the blend of astaxanthin, grape extract, and vitamin E also showed significant increases in brain-derived neurotrophic factors, which are vital for memory and learning, as well as a reduction in oxidative stress markers.
The market for mental well-being products is expanding rapidly, with a notable increase in consumer interest. Experts emphasize that mental health has become a key health priority for many. Data from Innova Market Insights indicates an average annual growth rate of 16% in supplements featuring brain-mood health claims from July 2019 to June 2024. Notably, hair, skin, and nail supplements have seen the most significant growth, with a 104% increase over the past five years.
As the demand for mental health solutions continues to rise, Nu Skin’s offerings align well with this trend, showcasing the increasing importance of mental wellness in the beauty and health sectors.
