Over 30 prominent beauty brands have come together to launch a new relief initiative aimed at supporting those affected by the devastating California wildfires. Led by clean beauty pioneer and native Californian Josie Maran, the “Beauty Together” initiative is designed to provide both immediate and long-term assistance to wildfire victims in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas.

‘Beauty Together’ Initiative Offers Support for California Wildfire Relief, focusing on offering financial help and wellness kits to those in need. The initiative is supported by a wide array of participating beauty brands, including Sol de Janeiro, Huda Beauty, Summer Fridays, Goop, YSE, Youth to the People, Merit, Roz, Lawless Beauty, Tower 28, Saint Jane, Iris & Romeo, Milk, Haus Labs, Tatcha, and many others.

The campaign kicked off with a charity sales event, where all proceeds were directed toward the fund to support the wildfire victims. Maran expressed her gratitude for the community’s resilience, saying, “So many community members have bootstrapped innovative and impactful ways to help, and many of us in the industry have already donated products to be included in vital hygiene and wellness kits.”

In addition to donating products, some of the brands, including Josie Maran, are contributing 100% of their sales from the event to the relief fund, while others are donating a percentage of their earnings. The event was further amplified with a live Instagram broadcast, where Maran and some of the participating brands shared the initiative’s goals and encouraged others to contribute.

‘Beauty Together’ Initiative Offers Support for California Wildfire Relief by providing financial relief, which Maran argues is essential for people who have lost everything. She explained, “When you’ve lost everything, when you are both homeless and possession-less overnight, don’t you want the dignity of choice to determine where you go, and what you prioritize? Cash helps — perhaps like no other assistance.” The funds will allow victims to address immediate financial needs, such as paying for temporary housing, medications, groceries, and even replacing lost vehicles or devices essential for getting back to work or school.

Maran emphasized the extensive financial burden faced by those affected, noting that victims not only need immediate relief but also must navigate the complex process of insurance claims and government aid. She hopes that the financial support generated from the initiative will help alleviate some of the stress and uncertainty for those struggling to rebuild their lives. “You have to pay the babysitter so that you can go back to work. The list of financial needs goes on and on, and you now also have the massive task of applying for insurance and government relief to begin rebuilding your home or business or school,” she said.

The Beauty Together initiative demonstrates the beauty industry’s collective effort to provide both material and financial aid to those in crisis, while also offering a sense of dignity and choice to those in need.
