Saturday Night Live and CeraVe Team Up to Help End Your Dandruff

Dandruff can be incredibly frustrating, often making people want to rock out to a heavy metal anthem. This weekend, during Saturday Night Live’s 50th Anniversary celebration, CeraVe partnered with the iconic NBC show to debut a comedic skit addressing the all-too-familiar woes of a flaky scalp.

Starring Bowen Yang and Sarah Sherman as a punk rock grandmother-and-grandson duo, the skit, titled “Naumore Dandruf,” humorously highlights how dandruff can disrupt not only hair but even important band practices. As tensions rise before an upcoming gig, the band’s dermatologist and drummer, Dustin Portela, steps in with a game-changing suggestion: he recommends the band try CeraVe’s new haircare line to smooth and soothe their scalps, quite literally.

Saturday Night Live and CeraVe Team Up to Help End Your Dandruff, as the skit takes a turn when Portela reveals he’s not just a drummer, but also a full-time doctor. He explains to Yang and Sherman that while CeraVe is renowned for skincare, the brand has expanded to include hair products, since the scalp is a part of our largest organ.

The CeraVe “Anti-Dandruff” Shampoo and Conditioner retail for $12 USD and are now available for purchase on the brand’s website.
